Kindly have a look at the article which appeared in Indian Express today morning by RENOWNED COLUMNIST Sucheta Dalal , titled as – “ WRONG TARGET” . The same is referred in form of net link as under :-

Media reports say that the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has asked banks to avoid Price Waterhouse & Co. (PWC) and Lovelock and Lewes as auditors after the Global Trust Bank debacle. The report has the auditing community wondering why the RBI remains focussed on the wrong target. Here’s what PWC’s audit report said for the year ended March 31, 2003: ‘‘Attention is drawn to Note 10 of Schedule XVIII regarding preparation of accounts on a going concern basis even though the net worth of the bank has been substantially eroded’’. This was due to provision for non-performing assets (NPAs) and taking into account the management’s claim about business growth and capital infusion. It warned that the accounts ‘‘do not include adjustments’’ that would be needed ‘‘in case the management’s business plans do not materialise.’’ It also pointed that ‘‘additional provision towards NPAs by utilisation of statutory reserves below the line after the net loss for the year is not in conformity with the accounting principles generally accepted in India.’’ Further it pointed to that fact that certain advances amounting to Rs 311.6 crore had been restructured, subsequent to the year-end, for which the management had claimed that provisioning was not required. Similarly, GTB’s management had claimed that no provisioning was also necessary with regard to certain non-banking assets worth Rs 181.7 crore acquired in ‘‘satisfaction of debts held for long term.’’ Despite these remarks, the RBI had welcomed GTB’s efforts at cleaning up its balance sheet. RBI has also not ordered any action against the firm of Mukund M. Chitale, although its inspection for 2000-01 had said, among other things, ‘‘there was no transparency of the observations of auditors on the affairs of the bank, particularly the correctness and adequacy of provisions. No divergences in asset classification and provisioning were furnished to the bank by the auditors in writing’’. It said, the bank’s proposal to reappoint the auditor ‘‘needs to be examined in the light of the above.’’ PWC’s appointment as auditor was a result of these strictures.

It would be clear from today’s article by Sucheta Dalal backed by solid facts , that the RBI is bent on protecting GTB while ignoring Price Water House reports as well as wanting that that banks should avoid Price Water and Co as the auditors . This shows that RBI wants to conceal the acts of bank management and you as Head of the Country cannot expect and trust the authorities in the Finance Ministry as well as Reserve Bank of India as they would deceive not only people of India but also you. The day you see nine/tenth of the iceberg concealed crashing into the TITANIC –called India , you as Commander of India would weep (repeat weep ), the way the captain of Titanic who was making his last trip on retirement.
In view of the seriousness , instead of depending on the Finance Ministry and delegating to them the contents of my email forwarded on 21-9-2004, it would be best that you take direct control of reigns and directly shoot ten arrows to find truth on how banking frauds happen , how great bank robbers are protected , who protects them and how they protect them and so on.
I am just a child asking to you as father figure , the way I see it and the way Sucehta Dalal and others see it and aptly narrated in a parable as under on House set on Fire :-

I have made same mistake on a micro scale confined to my family as a whistleblower and I am weeping but I do not want you to weep because you love children and you have shared yourself openly and lovingly to millions of children by travelling throughout the country. When you truly love them , the suffering would be immense and unbearable and day would come when you would not be able to face GOD and tell him to forgive you because you would realise that you do not deserve forgiveness. I have made same mistakes of trusting and relying on my chartered accountant and advocate and , it is they who destroyed my family. I have only tears in my eyes.
I hope that you do not want Hiroshima and Nagasaki to happen again –being smartly played by RBI and Finance Ministry.
It is time for you to act directly using your personal scientific mind potential which is far above mine !!! Kindly do not delegate nor depend on Finance Ministry and RBI at all as they will deceive you and deceive the citizens of India .

It is not entirely correct to say that it is not a finger> It is not entirely correct to say that it is just a finger. Thumb is a finger and also MORE THAN a finger. Like Thumb is the finger plus, leader is member plus.Now we have a team of leader and four fingers. What leadership lessons can we learn from this team? Look at the palm and fingers. 1. The team fingers have difficulty in contacting each other. THey have a problem to be in touch with each other. But, thumb easily touches each of the fingers. Actually, when you join thumb and four fingers they come together easily. ==>An effective leader is in touch with each of the members and brings them together. 2. Though thumb is smaller in size than three of the fingers, it is solid and strong. ==>An effective leader is strong and solid (in will) though he may be in smaller in size. Size is not a determining factor for leadership but being solid and strong matters.3. All the four fingers have three joints each though Thumbs has got only two joints. But thumb is more flexible than each of them.==>An effective leader may have less skills than the members but is flexible to utilize the skills of members. 4. The four fingers are facing the world and are externally directed. Thumb looks both the world and also towards the four members.==>Effective leader minds both members and work. He actually cares for members so that they can care for work. 5. Fingers cannot work without Thumb. Thumb cannot work without fingers. Fingers need Thumb and Thumb needs fingers.==>Members cannot work without leader. Leader cannot work without members. Member needs leader and leader needs members.6.Thumb helps fingers to different jobs in different forms like holding, pulling, lifting, writing, etc and adds value in many ways. ==> Leader helps members to perform many tasks and adds value in many ways. 7.There is trouble maker in the fingers. That is index finger. It points out again and again. "This is wrong." "This is wrong." It threatens. It questions. It disagrees. But when this aggressive finger joins thumb , it makes a perfect sign.==>.Amongst members there may be members who question, agree, disagree and accuse. But effective leader joins that very member to create excellence and perfectness. 8.Very important thing. Both thumb and fingers cannot do without bending. While standing rigid no work can be done. When they bend they can do many things.==> Both leader and member have to be humble to do effective work. Being rigid with own egos will not contribute. Bending together and mending together is ending of all problems and the master key to success. To bend , to be humble is to understand each other. TO understand one has to stand under. 9.When thumb and all the fingers close together in unity, they become a strong iron fist which can hammer and crash any thing.==>When leader and the members close together in unity they become a strong force and can hammer and crash any problem. 10. When member close together and leader is shining with smile and standing for the team. it is "spirits up." A victory for team.==>When all fingers including the thumb join with each other and palm is held up , it is "ABHAYAM", fearlessness. 11. When all fingers including the thumb join with each other and palm is held up, it is " Abhayam" fearlessness.==> When all members including the team stands up, it is "Abhayam" fearlessness. THUS , RESPONSIBLE LEADERSHIP AND EFFECTIVE TEAM ARE IN YOUR HAND THIS IS THAT===THIS (hand) IS THAT (WHOLE)
